Partnering to support the future of our industry
Missouri’s electric utilities are fortunate to have a quality program available in the heart of mid-Missouri which trains young people with an interest in line work.
State Technical College in Linn does a great job preparing young folks to enter many technical fields, including electrical distribution systems. For many years we have partnered with the program to support future area linemen in their education journey.
This summer we were fortunate to have Brennan Knipping of Rhineland, Noah Garwood of New Bloomfield and Joshua Ready of Fulton. These young men have completed one year of the State Tech program and spent the summer gaining on the job experience with our Callaway Electric line crews. The program is a win-win for us and the students, giving them an opportunity to learn a lot about their future career and us to preview the local talent pool if a hiring opportunity arises.
Thanks to Brennan, Noah and Joshua for a great summer! We wish you the best in your future opportunities.
