Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate
Callaway Electric Cooperative offers a rebate of $350 per ton on an installed Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP). To receive the rebate:

Members must first have their home sized so the correct sized unit is installed in the home. In order to have a home sized, bring the house plans or blueprints by the Cooperative office. The plans will only be used for a few days and can then be returned to the member. If it is a retrofit for an existing home, an employee will make an on-site visit to measure the home. There is no charge for this service.
The Cooperative will make a recommendation on the size GSHP required.
The Member will need to give this recommendation to the contractor installing the unit. Contractors are also asked to do their own sizing estimate so that any differences in size requirements can be discussed.
A list of qualified contractors is available at the Cooperative office.
The rebate of $350 per ton is usually paid to the contractor at the time the GSHP is installed.
There is 5.5% financing (up to $5,000) available for GSHP installations through the Callaway Bank.

Water Heater Rebates
Callaway Electric Cooperative offers a rebate on conventional electric water heaters. To be eligible for the rebate, members must install water heaters which meet the following qualifications:

Water heater tank size must be 40 gallons or larger.
Water heater tank must have insulation rating of R-11 or greater.
Dual heating elements must be electrically interlocked to prevent both elements from being energized at the same time.
The new water heater must either replace an existing gas or electric water heater, be installed in a newly constructed home, or be installed in a home which previously had no water heater.
Copy of invoice or bill of sale (along with the make & model number of heater) must be presented to Callaway Electric Cooperative no later than 60 days from date of purchase.
All rebates will be made to member homeowners or builders only.
Upon request, a Callaway Electric Cooperative employee can verify installation of the electric water heater.

Rebates are as follows:

Replacement of electric water heaters -- $50.00
New water heater in a new house -- $200.00
Replacement of a gas water heater -- $200.00 plus a $50.00 wiring allowance.
